Mr. Lim Khim Yeng graduated from the University of London in year 2004 and obtained his Certificate of Legal Practice in 2005. After completing his pupilage in the chambers of Mr. Khor Kheng Loon of Messrs. Khor, Ong & Company, Mr. Lim was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2006. He then commenced practice as a legal assistant with Messrs. Khor, Ong & Company. In the course of his practice, Mr. Lim was the only conveyancing lawyer handling conveyance of properties and banking transactions for both individual clients and corporation. It includes sub-sales of properties, developers’ project works and loan transactions involving the purchase of residential and commercial properties from the developer, government loans both Islamic and non-Islamic and other retail loan transactions.
In 2008, Mr. Lim was attached to Messrs. MahWengKwai, Seow & Megat wherein he focused his area of practice in civil and corporate litigation. His other areas of practice include probate and administration, tenancy, and banking. He left Messrs. MahWengKwai, Seow & Megat the same year and commenced practice as a sole proprietor in Messrs. K Y Lim & Partners in 2009. Thereafter, with the joining of Mr. Ooi in May 2010 the practice of Messrs. K Y Lim & Partners changed to partnership.
In 2008, Mr. Lim was attached to Messrs. MahWengKwai, Seow & Megat wherein he focused his area of practice in civil and corporate litigation. Mr. Ooi Choon Yaw graduated from the University of Sheffield in year 2004 and was admitted to The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 2004 and called to the Degree of the Utter Bar as Barrister At Law in 2005. Mr. Ooi completed his pupilage in the chambers at Messrs. Ghazi & Lim and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor in the High Court, Sessions Courts and Courts of Magistrate throughout the State of Malaya in 2006.
In May 2010, Mr. Ooi left his old firm and joined Messrs. K Y Lim & Partners as partner. In the course of his practice, Mr. Ooi was involved in Corporate and Retail Conveyancing, Banking documentation and property development. In addition Mr. Ooi also handles our divorce, probate and administration matters, trust matters, joint venture agreement, share sale agreements, shareholders agreements, building and construction contracts, tenancy agreements etc. Mr. Ooi also has litigation experience in the areas of banking and finance, hire purchase and leasing, receivership and bankruptcy, general debt recovery.

Ms. Khor Pei Chia obtained her law degree from University of London in 2003 and her Certificate in Legal Practice in 2005. Ms. Khor completed her pupilage in the chambers at Messrs. Shahrizat Rashid & Lee and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor in the High Court, Sessions Courts and Courts of Magistrate throughout the States of Malaya in 2006. Her main areas of practice are corporate, conveyancing, banking and finance. She also has extensive experience in Ship Financing and Islamic Financing.
In year 2009, she joined Texchem Group, a public listed company, as a legal counsel in the Group Legal & Secretarial Services Department. Her work required her to provide corporate and commercial legal advisory, protection of intellectual property rights including proceeding relating to the registration of trade mark and industrial design, drafting and vetting the corporate and commercial agreements such as confidentiality agreement, share sale agreement, joint venture agreement, distribution agreement, technical assistance agreement, manufacturing agreement, call and put option agreement, employment agreement, licensing agreement and other related documents such as company resolutions, memorandum and article of association as well as liaising with government and regulatory bodies such as Securities Commission Malaysia, Bursa Malaysia and the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
She also has been involved in a number of corporate exercises which, amongst others, involve the carrying out of due diligence exercise, de-listing exercise, mergers and acquisition, corporate restructuring and foreign investment.
